With the return of spring, comes the reintroduction of pink palettes into our beauty routines. Trading in winter mauves, reds and browns for corals, pinks and nudes may be one of my favourite “spring cleaning” traditions.
Going alongside one of the season’s most predominant beauty trends, I’ve made space for the freshly understated look of bare eyes paired with bold floral lips.
While the hue I am unexpectedly loving is brighter in nature (I’m wearing Lise Watier liquid lipstick in Party Kiss), bright berry stained pouts were all over the SS15 runways.
And while a totally nude eye and face may look great on a primped runway model, the key to this look (especially for those of us dealing with exhaustion), lies in the slightest trace of liquid eyeliner and a few generous coats of buildable mascara (top lashes only to avoid shadows!).
Just as important are defined brows when it comes to airy, youthful looks – be sure to brush them out to avoid any “boxiness”. Of course nothing allows makeup to pop like a perfect canvas, so wether you love matte full coverage or creamy light tinted moisturizer, be sure to set the stage and finish with a dewy effect highlighter.
