Invigorating Smoothie

The perfect drink you can enjoy all throughout the day; we just can’t stop raving about this fruity and nourishing smoothie!

Preparation time: 15 minutes
Servings: 4 (generous) glasses

Ingredients:

½ banana
3 Ataulfo mangoes, peeled and cubed
1 red apple, peeled and cored
1 cup (250 ml) plain or vanilla Greek yogurt
3 tbsp (45 ml) maple syrup
2 cups (500 ml) baby spinach (or kale, stems removed)
2 cups (500 ml) almond, rice or soy milk
1 pinch cinnamon or any other favourite spice

Preparation:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Serve immediately or refrigerate up to 12 hours.

Note: You can substitute kale for the baby spinach; simply remove the stems and use only the leaves. For more omega 3 and fiber, add 2 tbsp (30 ml) of chia seeds to the recipe. Enjoy!

A quick tip: If you use kale, steam for 1 to 2 minutes for easy digestion.
